Adults: Smoking cessation: Use whenever there is an urge to smoke, up to maximum 12 cartridges a day and between 6-12 a day for 8 weeks. Over the following 2 weeks aim to halve the number used, then reduce to zero over the next 2 weeks. Those using NRT beyond 9 months shoulld see a healthcare professional. Smoking reduction: Use whenever the urge to smoke is felt, with the intention to cut smoking as much as possible. Continue to use the inhalator to reduce smoking until ready to stop completely.
